About the WIU Lutheran Student Fellowship

We're located at 303 N. Clay Street at the Student Center here at Western Illinois University. The Student Center is just one block south of the Lincoln/Washington dorms. See the map on our directions page.

Inside the Lutheran Student Center is The Chapel of St. Timothy The Learner. The Chapel is named in honor of St. Timothy, one the Apostle Paul's first converts to Christianity -- a man who knew that he always remained "a learner" at the feet of His Lord Jesus. It's an appropriate name for a Chapel where students and community members continue to learn of Christ and grow in His grace.
Worship is important at The Lutheran Student Center. Every Sunday our Service is at 11:00 AM. Students, faculty, staff and community members from Immanuel Lutheran Church come together to hear God's Word and respond in praise, prayer and service. Wednesday evening's 7pm Service is an echo of Sunday's 11am Service. The Sacrament of the Altar is celebrated on the 2nd, 4th, and 5th Sundays at the Student Center.
Office Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. The Lutheran Student Center is the site for all the Offices of Immanuel's ministry. You are always welcome to call or stop in.
Immanuel Lutheran Church is happy to welcome all the students and staff of WIU, too. The Church is located at 906 East Grant Street, close to the McDonough District Hospital. Every Sunday worship is held at 8:30 AM. Sunday School classes for age three through Adults are from 9:45 - 10:35 AM. Everyone is welcome to join in the educational, social, service, and worship opportunities at Immanuel! Immanuel is a member congregation of The Lutheran Church -- Missouri Synod.
